A Media Hit from Last Year

Last March, my friend/colleague Lauren Going and I did an interview with JMORE, a Baltimore-based Jewish lifestyle magazine. Lauren is a local ketamine-assisted therapy provider and we have trained and worked together a few times. Check out her practice here.

We provided JMORE with some basic info about ketamine-assisted psychotherapy - KAP - and I had a chance to opine on the Jewish side of psychedelics. My orientation reflects the influence of Estelle Frankel, who wrote an awesome book on Jewish approaches to psychological healing.

As time passes and I gain more experience, my proficiency in KAP is increasing. The more I work with this medicine, it strengthens my opinion that this molecule, when deployed correctly, can catalyze psychotherapy and promote both individual healing as well as attachment security in a relational context.

Here’s my snippet from the interview.
